Analyze the production impact and construction damage on project delays. This example project involved changed conditions on the 1,000,000 CY aggregate production for a New Dam Construction Project. Our work assisted in a $25 million damages recovery for the contractor.
CHANGED SITE CONDITIONS - TECHNICAL SUPPOPRT
This work includes an analysis of changed site conditions (such as on-site aggregate gradation defects), code compliance, changed conditions, and defective materials. The example on the left demonstrates the lack of "Natural Sand" in an "Owner Furnished" aggregate source, which was of inferior quality and insufficient volume for the project - as required by the contract.
TROUBLESHOOTING & RESOLVING PROBLEM PROJECTS
Work with owners, contractors, developers, and designers in developing alternative options for dispute or construction claim settlements. Ideally, we train and assist owners, developers, designers, and contractors in setting up “Project Partnering” or “Alternative Dispute Resolution Processes” before a project begins.
CONSTRUCTION DELAY IMPACT ANALYSIS
We assist contractors and owners with Change Order Requests, Technical Communications (simplified graphics), and Settlement Negotiations focused on Avoiding Disputes. On this example project, our work included verification of a differing site condition, evaluation of quantity underruns, and analyzing the impact caused by delays.
